Biography

Mimi began her classical ballet training at the age of 4 and graduated from K&Kei Ballet Art in 2016. She also studied Nichibu (Japanese classical dance) in the Wakayagi-ryu style.

Since then, Mimi has performed internationally with various companies, including Liberty Ballet, Alive Ballet & Contemporary Dance Company, Dance Hub SA, Eruption Theatre and others, as well as an independent dance artist. She founded Adelaide Sakura Troupe in 2022 and Ballet Rogue in 2024 to contribute to the performing arts culture and community in South Australia.

Mimi holds a BA in Performing Arts from the University of South Australia. She is currently training in Contemporary Dance at Adelaide College of the Arts as well as an Honours research student in Creative Arts (Virtual Reality and Dance) at the University of South Australia.

Her current mentors are Amy de Halyn (dance film and production), Dr Sarah Neville (virtual reality and dance research) and Chylie Cooper (classical ballet).
